Gah! The battery on my Suunto FootPod expired after 7½ miles and so I cannot accurately record distance or pace. I replaced the battery back in September 2009 and so the single Energizer CR2032 battery has lasted six months.

However, it was the same route I ran two weeks ago only this time, starting with a slightly different route which I know is approximately one mile longer than I ran previously and so I am conservatively estimating 17 miles although I suspect it was very slightly more.

A change from the typical cold, dark, evening runs of the last five months—a cold, light, afternoon run, with sunshine! :)

The Runners World schedule was for 1M jog, 12 x 200m fast with 100m jog recoveries and finally 1M jog.

Here are the ten quick sessions I managed. My Suunto T4 watch is currently set to imperial (miles) and not metric (kilometers) so the distances below are calculated based on the fraction of a mile recorded by it and the Suunto FootPod and therefore are not totally accurate, but definitely close enough. Not bad guesstimates really, given that the local pavements aren’t exactly marked every 200m o_O

Leg Distance (m) Time (s) Pace (min/mile)
1 144 30.8 5’54”
2 177 47.3 7’03”
3 177 39.6 6’15”
